Sweet 'Escape' to Incredible East Java

September 26-27 September is probably the hardest month during 2015, at least that’s what I feel. But I do not want to say it “the hardest” yet the most challenging :D Ijen-Baluran closed our month beautifully. Spending this beautiful crater and national park with lovable people, Mbak Dillo, Mbak Dian and Kania. Thanks God for giving us chances to see your beautiful creature in the east of Java. It has been 4 months I’ve served in this IUUF Taskforce, it has been 3 months I’ve lived alone again at “kosan”/guest house, not in my lovely home, quite lonely but this is a new path which I have to pass. How the things are going so fast. September is the time when I began again my college life as well, but in the higher level, Master Degree. This was my third break since I worked at task force, after Cikuray and Jogja. Should have more breaks hehe. September 22 2015. Tonight, we attended “The Geography of Human Rights, Yap Thiem Hien Human Right Lecture” by Prof. Dr. Jan Pronk. Jan Pronk. Born in Scheveningen, March 16, 1940, the most powerful in development coordination field in Netherlands. Head of IGGI (Inter-governmental Group on Indonesia), IGGI was substituted by Consultative Grorup on Indonesia (CGI). He involved in Ministry of Economic and Foreign Affairs Coordination of Netherlands and funding institution for Indonesia in 1973-1977 and 1989-1992. The contribution of IGGI ended in March 1992. During his visit to Indonesia, Pronk’s having lecture in several places in Indonesia, meeting Vice President Jusuf Kalla, human right activist, and other activities related to human rights and development. Seminar Gerakan Anti Korupsi (GAK) Alumni Lintas Perguruan Tinggi “Koruptor akan merajalela bila orang-orang baik membiarkannya” GAK tercetus sebagai gabungan mahasiswa lintas kampus, saat itu negeri ini dikejutkan oleh kriminalisasi komisioner institusi pemberantas korupsi, KPK. Di saat korupsi semakin kronis, efeknya makin merajalela dan menggerogoti seluruh lapisan, baik sektor publik, privat, di sektor pendidikan, kesehatan, sumber daya alam, dan segala aspek tanpa melihat status atau posisi orang tersebut. GAK bersatu, mendeklarasikan gerakan intelektual dan moral, yang diharapkan terus menyuarakan visinya mewujudkan cita-cita Indonesia tanpa korupsi, kolusi, dan nepotisme, maupun segala bentuk penyalahgunaan kekuasaan sehingga tercipta masyarakat yang adil, makmur, dan sejahtera.
