Day Off. Today is free day for us. But, my host family, Sofi and Martin
didn’t have holiday today. They’re working. I also have a plan with my workshop
and Indonesian group, so I couldn’t spend time with my family and Moses.
We went to Lian!:) A beautiful place, full of snow (I think Lian is
one of the most beautiful places in Trondheim). We have to take trem, from Trondheim
center. It takes almost 30 minutes to go there. Finally, we arrived at Lian. There’s
a river where the snow begun to melt. So beautiful.
It supposed to gather with my workshop group to have tour inside
Cathedral Nidaros, because our workshop leader, Elizabeth worked there. But, I
have to go with Indonesian group first to Lian. Unfortunately, I was so late
for gathering with them. So, I couldn’t have a tour with them.

still there. I, Naris, Dita, Arief went to Samfundet. Bye Lian! It’s very nice
to meet another God’s beautiful creation. We enjoy our afternoon break in
coffee shop near Bakklandet, together with some Naris’s friends, ISFIT
Parliament Commitee from Norway, Cambodia friends, happy day!
Trondheim Tower, we called it Thyholt Tower, our next destination
today. It is 124 metre high radio tower with an observation deck at Trondheim,
Norway. It was built in 1985. More info http://www.trondheim.no/content/1117629990/Tyholt-Tower
This tower is also the most visited tourist attraction in Trondheim! We
have a great time here, especially the food in the Restaurant Egon Tarnet with
beautiful scenery from the top.

Plenary Session Media:
Fighting Corruption or Sustaining It?
The session is about media. Does it effect in fighting
corruption? Jose Ugaz, the first speaker. Jose Ugaz talks about grand
corruption. When there’s no transparency and circulation of information,
corruption will always flourish. There is good press and there is bad press.
Bad press is an enemy of the fight against corruption. In UK, the press is seen
by the public as more corrupt than the political parties.
Second speaker Heather Brooke, said about public information
for citizen. “What I discovered in Washington was that anybody could get info
on public officials, in the UK it wasn't like that”, she said. “The irony of taking on power, especially public
power, is that they are incredibly well resourced”, she continued.
Third speaker, Gerald Bareebe journalist from Uganda, becomes
our speaker. He started his explanation . “Corruption
is the essence of the political system in Uganda. If we want to win the
fight against corruption, we first have to win the fight for freedom of speech.”
Thanks for lesson, our speaker. We learn a lot from this session.

For the beauty of the earth,
For the beauty of the skies,
For the love which from our birth
Over and around us lies,
Lord of all, to thee we raise
This our hymn of grateful praise.
